Middle and High School Library and Textbook Information 2015-16
LIBRARY: The Linfield Library is located next to the Ward Center on the Middle School Campus. The library is open for all students Tuesday through Friday, from 7:30am until 3:30pm. The library is closed on Mondays.
TEXTBOOKS: Textbooks are checked out to each student during registration and are due on the last day of school, June 9, 2017. Students are responsible for the books that are checked out to them by barcode.
Books that are lost or damaged must be paid for.
To avoid charges, please….
-Cover all of your textbooks. Use paper or cotton fabric book covers….nothing sticky. No lycra or nylon book covers, no tape, and do not write or draw on your book covers. You are responsible for damage caused by book covers that bleed color or are too small and cause the binding to break. The Library has cotton stretch book covers for sale during registration week.
-Do not write or draw anywhere in your books.
-Keep your books in your possession at all times; either in your locked locker or in your backpack. Do not let anyone borrow your books and do not switch books with anyone. Never leave a book in a classroom.
-If your book gets damaged or is lost during the school year, please see Mrs. McGraw ASAP. Do not try to repair your book yourself.
-Keep your books dry. No food or drink around your books. Water damage cannot be repaired and you will be charged full price to replace any book that comes in contact with water, coffee, soda or any other food or beverage.
-Put your name in your book. This is required, on the inside front cover. Having your name in your book may save you hundreds of dollars in lost textbook charges.
STUDENTS WHO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES RARELY INCUR FINES OR CHARGES.
ALL TEXTBOOKS ARE DUE ON JUNE 9, 2017.
BOOKS NOT RETURNED ON JUNE 9, 2017, ARE IMMEDIATELY CHARGED TO YOU.
You are responsible for the books that are checked out to you and you will be charged to have damaged or lost books repaired or replaced. A $20 charge is made for books that require rebinding.
● If there is pre-existing damage to your textbooks, send Mrs. McGraw an email describing the problem. Please email by Sept. 30, 2016 firstname.lastname@example.org
Middle and High School students check out their textbooks from the library. Consumable workbooks for high school courses and AP course textbooks and workbooks are purchased at our Follett Virtual Bookstore.
