If you think you want to buy a book or two, please bring your money.
We'll meet in the library first, eat, and then walk down to elementary. We will be back before lunch is over, but just in case, I will give the teachers a heads up that you might be a minute or two late for your next class.
Today in Book Club, the question we discussed was, "Is Trevor a Christian?"
Many of you answered "no" while a couple were unsure.
As you are finishing up reading "Pay it Forward", be looking for evidence to support your opinion of Trevor.
You can learn a lot about a character by paying attention to three things:
-What does he say about himself?
-What do others say about him?
-What does he do?
Think about Trevor's words, action, and what others say about him. There's your evidence. Is your opinion supported, or do you need more evidence?
Looking ahead, in two weeks, on Oct. 12, we'll be choosing our next book. If you have suggestions, bring them. We need to all agree on a title, and have it be something that everyone can read in two weeks or so.
