Thanks go out to Julian for designing a new flyer to post around campus to get more students interested in Book Club. Hopefully we'll have some new members at our next meeting on March 2. Thanks, Julian!
During our last meeting, we talked about some ways to revitalize Book Club, as it seems some of our members haven't been able to make it. We talked about possibly getting extra credit in English, earning community service hours by helping out in the library, and picking a new book that everyone promises to finish! Sounds great to me.
I just want the faithful Book Club members to know how much I enjoy your company during lunch. We're a small but mighty group, and I definitely want to continue to meet with you to talk about what we're reading, even if it's only one or two people.
The plan for this week is for everyone to finish up a book they started but didn't finish, to finish Pax if they haven't, or to read a book that they've always wanted to read. Be prepared to share about your book at next week's meeting. Then, we'll choose our new title, and be on our way. Sounds like a good plan to me.
Hey...Book Club member, tell your parents to stop in the Library during Open House so that I can tell them how wonderful you are!
Have a great week.
