With Christmas break right around the corner, everyone is busy with exams and projects. I decided that we will not have a formal book club meeting next week, December 16. I think that Middle School has some Christmas activities going on and students might have other obligations at lunch. However, if you want to stop by the Library and eat with me and talk about "Unbroken" that would be fine. I like the company. But if you have other things to do, that's fine too.
We'll start back up with regular Book Club on Wednesdays at lunch when we return from break. So our next meeting will be Wednesday January 6. By this time we should all be finished reading "Unbroken" and ready to talk. Some of you might already be done. You might want to refresh your memory before Jan. 6.
This time of year, a lot of book-ish people like to come up with their "Best of 2015" lists. No doubt, there will be plenty of Best Books of 2015 lists on the internet. Book Club member Austin says he would like to come up with his own list of the best books he's read. I like that idea. If anyone else wants to do the same, please do! It will be fun to see what we might have in common.
I will be choosing our next book, and will post it here. So by the middle of January, we will be starting something brand new that no one has read before! Can't wait. Also....once I choose it, I'll try and have enough copies available so you can grab one from me and get started reading.
Merry Christmas to each of you and thank you for participating in Linfield's Middle School Book Club. You are awesome.
